  • Offering a range that supports skin health is the main objective of the Dindi Naturals skincare range.
  • Skin care is designed make the skin appear smoother, feel softer with improved colour and texture.
  • Skin care improves the look of the skin through moisturisation (lipids) and hydration (water).
  • We have products in the range that offer both lipid replacement and hydration. Most skin types will benefit from any of them.
  • Some products have specialised active ingredients that may offer other benefits such as cell protection against aging or improving uneven pigmentation.
Basic majority skin types:

You can categorise your skin by looking closely at your skin's texture, colour and oil secretions.

Oily skin

Typically, oily skin is the result of over-active sebaceous glands. This skin type generally has sheen and may be thicker in texture showing more visibly dilated pores through the nose, chin and forehead.  An oily skin has a tendency towards congestion and blemishes.

Lipid Dry skin:

The first thing you will notice if your skin is dry is there will be minimal oil production and very fine pores.  The surface of lipid dry skin can be rough and flaky.  A dry skin may have a tendency toward an uneven texture, with reddish patches and fine capillaries visible.  A lipid dry skin will generally not tolerate temperature extremes or very dry environments from air conditioning or central heating. It may scar easily and show signs of premature aging.

Sensitive skin:

This skin type can feel irritated and have underlying redness.  It may be prone to flushing and mark easily.  This skin type may easily react to skin care and using the wrong products may lead to rashes or irritation.  As with lipid dry skin, a sensitive skin will often not tolerate temperature extremes or very dry environments from air conditioning or central heating.  It may scar easily and show signs of premature aging.

A sensitive skin can be oily or dry.

Normal skin:

Lucky you.  This skin has no noticeable redness or enlarged pores.  Pimples and blackheads are rare although can still occur during different phases of life.  Mostly the skin will have a healthy, even colour and the texture will be smooth and feel soft to touch.

Combination skin:

When you look at your skin you may notice that certain areas of you skin fall into different categories. This is normal for most of us.  You may find that your cheeks are sensitive and lipid dry, however your nose and chin oily and prone to blackheads.

Mature or aging skin:

All skin types are going to age with time.  Signs of aging show on the skin as fine lines and wrinkles, excess and uneven pigmentation, loose and thin looking skin.  It can even have scaly patches of sun damaged cells.

Incorrect skin care, extreme heat or cold, sun exposure, illness, medication, genetics and diet and lifestyle can exacerbate skin aging in any skin type.

Most of us will experience dehydrated skin, however long-term dehydration can lead to excess dead skin cells, irritation, premature aging and even acne.
